I was the cover and interior designer for three hiking guides for Mountaineers Books.
Some of my responsibilities included:
Creating a variety of options for the cover and presenting to the team
Designing a trail locator map for the back cover
Styling the type from manuscript in galleys all the way to final page layout
Communicating effectively and promptly with editor, creative director and map-maker.
Using advanced InDesign skills (ex: Tagged Text, Find/Change inputs, Long doc organization and management, systems for Photo Library organization and relinking)
